At Claire’s dog care, each appointment will start with a free and thorough consultation. Here we will discuss your dogs emotional and physical needs, the look you desire for your dog, your dogs coat condition and how we go about achieving this look. If your dog is of a nervous or anxious nature then I will often burn the calming essential oil, lavender. The correct essential oils can often offer a safe and natural solution to help combat behaviours like these. Your dogs welfare is paramount to me, this is one of the reasons why I only use a natural, chemical free shampoo that is pH balanced and cruelty free.

Full Groom

A full groom includes a two wash bath with specially selected natural, cruelty free conditioning shampoo. A blow dry by hand and brush out. Body styling as discussed in the consultation, nail clipping, hygiene trim, pad clearing and finished with a natural perfume spritz if desired.

Hand Strip
From £50*
This service is designed for wire haired breeds, where the dead outer coat is removed by hand. This process allows room for the new coat to grow through, maintaining the coat’s natural colour and texture, keeping it at its best condition.
A two wash bath with soothing shampoo is included after the hand strip to cleanse any open hair follicles, minimising the risk of infection. Recommended every 3 months.
Prices may vary slightly due to factors such as time between last hand strip.

De-shed
From £40
Our de-shed service is best suited for double coated breeds but can be used for all.
It includes a massaging two wash bath with a deep cleaning natural, cruelty free shampoo to allow the loose hair to come out more easily.
The coat is then dried in a ‘blasting’ technique with a high velocity dryer, which blasts out all their loose hair.
Lastly, a thorough brush out to remove any remaining stray hairs finished with a natural perfume spritz if desired.
This service is designed to reduce shedding to an absolute minimum and keep your dog clean and fresh.

Puppy Introduction - complimentary
(under 4 months old)
This is a complimentary service I like to offer as an introduction to your puppy’s first groom.
Here they will be exposed to the tools, smells and sounds of the grooming world. Lasting around 10 minutes. They will be rewarded with lots of cuddles, treats and vocal encouragement.
Puppy’s first groom

A puppy’s introduction to grooming is vital to build their confidence in the grooming environment. Ensuring your puppy becomes comfortable with the groomer and the equipment used.
At your puppy’s first groom, they will have a two wash bath with sensitive, calming, natural and cruelty free conditioning shampoo. A gentle blow dry by hand and brush out. Finished with a natural perfume spritz if desired.

Here at Claire’s dog care, I adhere to The Animal Welfare Act 2006 and follow the Five freedoms. If your dog is heavily matted and needs extensive de-matting, which could cause stress and discomfort. I will advise you on a solution before commencing the groom.
